The T Set is the Sydney Trains designation for the Tangara.
Tangaras are one of the most recognisable trains on the Sydney railway network.
Yes, I have a favourite train. Yes, it's a Tangara. No, I will not be taking questions.
TANGARA FACTS
- T Sets are Tangaras.
- Tangaras entered service from 1988 onwards.
- They are double-decker electric multiple units.
- They were designed for Sydney's suburban railway network.
- A Tangara set is made up of eight cars.
- Tangaras have distinctive sloping front ends.
- The fleet has received refurbishment and life-extension work.
WHY I LIKE T SETS
The shape, sounds, doors, interior and basically the whole Tangara experience.
Other trains are cool, but T Sets just hit different.
